Ex-Rep Eta Mbora Joins ADC, Citing PDP Crisis

On Thursday, Mr. Eta Mbora, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency, announced his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Calabar, Cross River State.

He attributed his decision to the prolonged internal crises within the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which he believes have weakened the party. Despite the difficulty of his move, Mbora stated it became necessary in light of recent developments that presented opportunities for service at local government and national levels.

He expressed gratitude for the support he received during his time in the PDP and encouraged others to join the ADC as part of the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise across wards. His defection is part of a broader political realignment in Cross River State, following similar moves by former Governor Liyel Imoke and former Senator Gershom Bassey to the ADC.
