Former Lawmaker Mbora Joins ADC from PDP in Cross River

Former lawmaker Mbora, who represented the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly, announced his defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday in Calabar, Cross River State. He attributed his decision to the lingering internal crises within the PDP, which he believes have continued to weaken the party's structure.

Mbora described leaving the PDP as a difficult choice but insisted it had become inevitable. He expressed gratitude for the support and loyalty he received during his time in the PDP and urged his political associates to align with the ADC as it participates in the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise across wards.

His defection follows similar moves by former Governor Liyel Imoke and former Senator Gershom Bassey, who also recently left the PDP for the ADC. The ADC plans to hold a rally to formally welcome Mbora as a new member of the party.
