Radda Urges APC Members to Avoid Complacency for 2027

In a recent address, Governor Fridai Radda of Katsina State cautioned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against complacency as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. He expressed that while there has been a display of unity within the party, the challenges ahead require sustained diligence and proactive efforts.

Radda emphasized that political actors must remain focused and warned that complacency could undermine the party's chances in the polls. He described the adoption of a consensual candidacy process as a demonstration of political maturity and unity among party members.

However, he noted that unity must extend beyond internal agreements to reflect stronger engagement with the electorate. Radda urged candidates emerging from the consensual process to reconnect with constituents and address their concerns.

He commended the members of the consensual committee for conducting a smooth and credible process, which he believes will help strengthen unity within the party. Murtala Aliyu Kankia, the APC's national legal adviser, distributed nomination forms in line with the agreed framework to ensure orderliness within the party.
