Experts Urge Donor Support for AI in Nigeria's Security

Experts are calling for donor support to expand the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in Nigeria's policing and security architecture. The plan includes acquiring drones, enhancing surveillance systems, and investing in digital investigative tools. The experts noted that the question is no longer whether AI will influence the security sector but how to prepare for its potential impact, which requires strong institutional support and a clear ethical framework.
