Dalung Challenges Tinubu on Missing School Records

Solomon Dalung, the former Minister of Sports, has publicly challenged President Bola Tinubu to explain the absence of his primary and secondary school qualifications in the personal particulars submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 presidential election. Dalung made this statement on his X account following the release of the nomination documents by INEC.

He pointed out that while Tinubu included his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University, the sections for his primary and secondary education were left blank. Dalung stressed that this omission raises significant questions that require clarification, as public trust in leadership is built on transparency.

He argued that the same accountability standards applied to other political candidates should also be expected of the incumbent president. Dalung concluded that transparency is essential to dispel public speculation and that silence on such matters often exacerbates concerns.
