Chelsea Denied Two Penalties in FA Cup Final Loss

In the FA Cup final on Saturday, Chelsea faced Manchester City and lost 1-0, with former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg explaining why Chelsea's two penalty claims were waved off. The first incident occurred during injury time of the first half when Joao Pedro was barged inside Manchester City's box by Abdukodir Khusanov.

VAR, overseen by Peter Bank, checked the incident but did not recommend that referee Darren England review it on the pitch. Clattenburg commented that the contact was surprising and that a foul or penalty should have been given, noting that Khusanov's challenge was stronger than shoulder-to-shoulder.

Chelsea's defeat meant that Manchester City secured a domestic double with this victory.
