FAAC Disburses N1.969 Trillion as December Revenue Hits N2.585 Trillion

The Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed N1.969 trillion to the three tiers of government in Nigeria in December 2025, as total revenue for the month reached N2.585 trillion. The allocation comprised N1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, N846.507 billion in VAT revenue, and N38.110 billion in EMTL revenue.

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed the disbursement in a statement issued by its Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa. The total revenue distributed included gross revenue for the month, with N104.697 billion deducted for collection costs.

The breakdown of the allocation saw the federal government receive N653.500 billion, state governments N706.469 billion, and local governments N513.272 billion. Additionally, N96.083 billion was shared as the 13% mineral revenue derivation for states.

The revenue sources included Company Income Tax, Customs and Excise Duties, and significant increases in oil and gas royalties.
