FG, States, LGs Share N2.036 Trillion in March 2026

In March 2026, the Federal Government, states, and local governments shared a total of N2.036 trillion, as reported by the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) during a meeting held in Abuja. The total distributable revenue comprised N1.320 trillion in statutory revenue and N515.391 billion from value-added tax (VAT), with an increase of N200 billion noted in the communiqué issued by FAAC.

The total gross revenue available for the month was N2.364 trillion, with deductions for cost of collection amounting to N81.084 billion and total transfer refunds of N246.872 billion. The breakdown indicated that the Federal Government received N789.159 billion, state governments received N657.596 billion, and local government councils received N468.826 billion.

The distribution included N120.759 billion shared among 13 mineral revenue states. The report also highlighted significant increases in company income tax and petroleum profit tax, while VAT showed a slight decrease.
