FAAN Warns Against Hazardous Goods on Aircraft

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has raised concerns over passengers carrying dangerous goods onto aircraft, highlighting recent incidents compromising safety. FAAN's Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, stressed the importance of improving communication and collaboration among passengers, airlines, and security agencies.

The agency conducted training sessions for aviation security personnel to identify and manage prohibited items. Incidents at airports in Abuja and Kano underscored the seriousness of passengers attempting to carry forbidden substances, leading to confrontations with security officials.
