Ozekhome Faces Legal Scrutiny Over Fake Passport Claims

Mike Ozekhome is under fresh scrutiny as the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has denied issuing a passport authentication letter he presented in a legal dispute over a property located at 79 Randal Avenue, North London. The letter, which purported to authenticate a Nigerian passport belonging to Tali Shani, was submitted to a UK tribunal as part of Ozekhome's claim of ownership of the property, which he alleged was a gift for legal services rendered.

However, the NIS confirmed that the letter was invalid and unauthorized, stating that no office within the agency's legal department exists as described in the document. The tribunal ruled against Ozekhome's transfer of ownership, determining that the property was covertly purchased in 1993 by former military officer Jeremiah Useni.

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission has filed three criminal charges against Ozekhome, including allegations of receiving property from fraudulent transactions and creating a false Nigerian passport. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
