Immigration Officer Denies Issuance of Tali Shani Passport

During a court session at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Aridegb Akim, an officer from the Nigerian Immigration Service, testified that a passport purportedly belonging to Tali Shani was not issued by their agency. This testimony is part of the trial involving Ozekhome, a senior advocate of Nigeria and the son of the late former FCT Minister Jeremiah Useni.

Akim stated that the passport number A07535463 was checked against the immigration database and found to be non-genuine. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had requested verification of two passports linked to Useni and Shani.

Akim further revealed that there was no record of payment for the alleged passport application. The court proceedings were adjourned until April 15, 2024, with Ozekhome having pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of charges, including property disputes involving a property located at 79 Randal Avenue, London.
