Family Plans Tribute Events for Late Actor Ogogo

The family of the late Nollywood veteran, Taiwo Hasan, popularly known as Ogogo, announced the completion of his burial rites following his death at the age of 66 on August 23, 2026. His passing was confirmed by fellow actor Jide Kosoko.

Ogogo was buried in Ilaro, Ogun State, on August 24, 2026, in accordance with Islamic rites, attended by notable figures from the entertainment industry, including Yinka Quadri and Femi Adebayo. Jide Kosoko, representing the family, announced that the 8th-day Fidau Prayer would take place on August 31, 2026, in Ilaro.

Additionally, an Artists’ Day will be held 40 days after his burial at the Pavilion Hall in Ilaro, featuring performances from various entertainers to celebrate Ogogo's life and contributions to Yoruba-language cinema. Kosoko expressed gratitude to those who attended the burial, emphasizing the love and respect shown for Ogogo during his lifetime.
