Rema Clarifies No Feud With Davido Amid Fan Speculation

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, has publicly addressed rumors regarding a feud with fellow Nigerian artist Davido. During an interview with Ebro Laura Style, Rema clarified that there are no issues between him and Davido, despite what fans may speculate.

He expressed his respect for older artists in the Nigerian music scene, stating, “Davido and I have no issues; those are just rumours. I have so much respect for the OGs.” Rema elaborated on the role of fans in creating tension between artists, noting that they often initiate comparisons that lead to perceived rivalries.

He mentioned that he previously attempted to discourage his fans from engaging in such comparisons but ceased doing so when he observed that some other artists did not take similar actions with their supporters. Rema concluded that “fans are always the ones starting things,” highlighting the challenges artists face regarding public perception.
