Farmers Advocate Quick Implementation Of Post-harvest Policy

Farmers nationwide are urging the quick implementation of a post-harvest policy following the recent launch of Agribusiness Hubs by the federal government. The policy aims to reduce losses and boost the growth of farm produce.

Alhaji Kaita emphasized the urgent need for this policy implementation, especially in light of climate change impacts on farming. Another farmer, Yemisi Ojo, stressed the importance of involving farmers in the policy implementation process to ensure its effectiveness.

Vice President Kashim Shettima recently launched the loss initiative in Oyo State, emphasizing the need to address losses and enhance agricultural growth. The Agribusiness Hubs are expected to support 40 agribusiness ventures, creating employment opportunities and improving the livelihoods of farmers.

Farmers are hopeful that the policy will be swiftly implemented to address post-harvest losses effectively.
