Lagos Government to Combat Food Losses with Mega Storage Facility

Lagos State Government is set to address food post-harvest losses by launching a mega food storage facility in Epe, capable of storing enough food to meet the state's demand for 90 days. The facility, to be commissioned in December 2025, aims to enhance food security in the state.

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) discussed this initiative at their Annual Fair Symposium themed "Agric Business 21 Century Changing." The facility is part of the Lagos Food Security System Logistic Hub in Epe, designed to stabilize food prices and ensure a steady food supply for the state's 24 million residents.
