Fashola Honors Late Olawal Banmor at Book Launch in Lagos

On Tuesday, Babatunde Fashola, the former Lagos State Governor, honored the late Olawal Banmor at a book launch held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs auditorium in Lagos. The event celebrated Banmor's contributions to the insurance sector and his advocacy for education.

Fashola delivered a keynote address, highlighting Banmor's influence and commitment to service, urging alumni to support their alma mater. The posthumous book titled "Claim Advantage" was launched, focusing on transforming claims management in Nigeria's insurance industry.

Moham Kari, former chairman of the occasion and ex-commissioner of insurance, praised Banmor's exemplary life and significant contributions. Veteran journalist Reuben Abati reviewed the book, addressing critical issues such as trust deficits in the sector.

The event also featured tributes from family members, including Banmor's daughter, Doyinsola, who expressed gratitude to the guests for celebrating her father's legacy. The book aims to preserve Banmor's memory and influence on the future of Nigeria's insurance industry.
