FCCPC Applauds Court Judgments Upholding Consumer Rights in Nigeria

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has commended recent court rulings in Lagos and Enugu states for upholding consumer rights and reinforcing the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018. The judgments awarded damages against Multichoice Nigeria Limited and declared Peac Mass Transit's no refund policy unlawful.

FCCPC's Executive Vice Chairman, Tunji Bello, emphasized the importance of legal redress for consumers and highlighted the judiciary's role in safeguarding consumer rights. The rulings demonstrate the commitment to protecting consumers and promoting fair marketplace practices.
