Bismark Rewane Appointed Chairman of First Citi Monument Bank

Bismark Rewane has been appointed as the board chairman of First Citi Monument Bank, with the appointment receiving approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria. Rewane, a prominent economist with over 40 years of experience in macroeconomic research and investment banking, will serve as a non-executive director on the bank's board.

His extensive background includes leadership roles at various financial institutions, including International Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited and First Nation Bank Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Ibadan and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Rewane has also served on the boards of several companies, including Guinness Nigeria PLC and British American Tobacco. His appointment is expected to enhance the bank's governance and strategic leadership, contributing to a stronger capital base and supporting the bank's growth objectives.
