PDP Candidate Withdraws for APC in FCT Area Council Polls

In a significant political development, Julius Adamu, the chairmanship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Bwari Area Council elections, has withdrawn his candidacy to endorse Joshua Ishaku Musa of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision comes less than 24 hours before the elections and follows the intervention of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Adamu submitted a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announcing his withdrawal and called for support for Musa across all 12 wards in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). Additionally, Hon.

Zadna Dantani, another PDP chairmanship candidate, has also stepped down in favor of Hon. Christoph Zakka Maikalangu of the APC.
