NSCDC Commandant Ensures Voter Safety in FCT Elections

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Olusola, has issued a warning to officers regarding the upcoming elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He stressed the necessity for officers to maintain professionalism and remain non-partisan, explicitly stating that they should not belong to any political party.

The NSCDC has deployed 4,000 officers across various polling units to ensure the security and protection of voters and electoral infrastructure. Olusola instructed the officers to assist in the voting process without interfering or showing favoritism towards any political party or candidate.

He emphasized that any officer found engaging in partisan activities would face consequences, as the agency aims to create a peaceful environment for voters. The command is focused on working synergistically with other agencies to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and protect human rights during the elections.
