NUT Official Ibrahim Adamu Dies on Way to Work in Abuja

Ibrahim Adamu, a cleaner at the FCT Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) office, collapsed and died on his way to work on Tuesday. The incident occurred around 7:12 AM in the Gwagwalada Area Council, near a drainage area close to the Armi checkpoint.

Passersby noticed him lying inside the drainage and raised the alarm. Police were alerted, and he was rushed to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.

Adamu, a native of Yelwa in Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, was married with children and appeared healthy when he left home. Comrade Moham Abdullahi Shafa, chairman of the FCT wing of NUT, confirmed the death, stating that Adamu had been working until around 4 PM the previous day and had returned home after cleaning the office.

His remains have been deposited at the hospital's morgue.
