FCT Police Commissioner Engages CAN for Security Collaboration

On Wednesday, the Police Commissioner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ahm Sanusi, paid a courtesy visit to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at the Ecumenical Centre in Abuja. The meeting was hosted by the chairman of the association, Rev. Timothy Ikechukwu, and included senior members and prominent pastors from various church ministries across the FCT.

During the engagement, Commissioner Sanusi emphasized the commitment of the FCT Police Command to strengthen collaboration with religious bodies and critical stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of residents. He reiterated an open-door policy approach and assured the association of sustained cooperation and proactive measures, including adequate security deployments to safeguard places of worship.

Rev. Ikechukwu expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as significant and a commendable step toward deepening police-community relations. He noted the association's readiness to support police intelligence efforts and stressed the importance of protecting lives and property, urging the public to report suspicious activities to the police.
