New FCT Police Commissioner Vows to Combat Crime

Ahm Sanusi officially assumed his role as the new Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Wednesday. During his inaugural press briefing, he declared that crime would not thrive in Abuja under his leadership.

Sanusi committed to deploying proactive, intelligence-driven policing strategies to eliminate criminal elements. He emphasized that the FCT would no longer serve as a safe haven for criminals and warned them to desist from unlawful activities, stating they would face the full weight of the law.

He also urged police personnel to uphold the highest professional standards and maintain civility in their interactions with the public. Sanusi expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, for his appointment and pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor while strengthening the security architecture of the FCT.

The announcement of Sanusi's appointment was part of a broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.
