Wike Backs Candidates Supporting Tinubu for FCT Elections

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, declared his intention to support only candidates who align with President Bola Tinubu's vision for the upcoming FCT area council elections, scheduled for February 21. Wike made this statement during a celebration for Sandi Onor's 60th birthday in Abuja on Saturday night.

He emphasized his unwavering support for the President and vowed to back candidates who share Tinubu's agenda, regardless of their party affiliation. Wike described Onor as a credible ally and trustworthy friend.

The event featured notable figures, including Philip Aduda, who expressed gratitude for Onor's contributions, and former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, who represented the chairman of the occasion. Kanu Agabi, a former Attorney General of the Federation, praised Onor's courage and intellect.

The celebration also included the unveiling of a festschrift in honor of Onor, highlighting his academic and political achievements.
