Wike: FCT, Rivers Elections Show Support for Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, remarked on the outcomes of the recent elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Rivers State, asserting that they demonstrate an increasing public confidence in the policies and programs of President Bola Tinubu. Wike highlighted the significant victories recorded by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in these elections, particularly in remote communities within the FCT, marking the first time the APC secured a councillorship seat in the hinterland area.

He described the results as overwhelming, especially concerning major local council chairmanship positions. Wike also referred to the APC's performance in Rivers State as a victory, calling for a coalition among political stakeholders to reflect broader interests and support for Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda.

He emphasized that these results underscore a shift in political dynamics and the growing trend of cross-party collaboration ahead of future electoral contests.
