Wike Announces Inauguration of FCT Projects by Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, announced that several newly completed infrastructure projects are set for inauguration by President Bola Tinubu. The inauguration will commence with Osex Road on June 10, 2023, followed by Life Camp and Airport Road on June 12, 2023.

Wike commended the contractors, CGC and Julius Berger, for their commitment to completing the projects on time. He addressed concerns regarding the delay in commissioning certain facilities, explaining that the process involved private operators managing government facilities through procurement processes.

Wike urged residents to be patient with bureaucratic processes and emphasized that the government would not directly run facilities. He also noted that the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) is working on traffic advisories to assist residents in planning their movements during the commissioning events.
