Wike: Abuja Projects Must Meet Tinubu Anniversary Deadline

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated that all ongoing projects in Abuja must meet the deadline for the third anniversary celebration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. During an inspection tour of several projects, including the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange, airport road, and Kuje-Gwagwalada road, Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and noted that the Citi Gate project, managed by Julius Berger, is a landmark development redefining Abuja's entry point.

He cautioned that while the quality of work is commendable, there are concerns regarding the timely delivery of certain components, particularly bridge sections. Wike assured that the airport road project at Kuje junction, executed by an Arab contractor, would be completed within a week.

He also mentioned that several major projects, including a water treatment plant and various road developments, are expected to be commissioned within the anniversary period. The Citi Gate project features permanent security installations and a 24-hour surveillance system.
