Tinubu Lauds Wike's Leadership in FCT Development

During a special thanksgiving dinner in Abuja on a Friday night, President Bola Tinubu praised Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for enhancing the region since his appointment in August 2023. Tinubu noted the successful inauguration of 31 projects across the FCT, commending Wike and his team for their dedication and leadership.

He emphasized that every completed project signifies the government's commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians. Former FCT Minister Aliyu Modibbo, representing Vice President Kashim Shettima, expressed optimism about Wike's return to the FCT ministry.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of motivating civil servants and the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission to ensure permanent positions for civil servants. He mentioned that nine projects were inaugurated in the first year of his administration, 19 in the second year, and 31 in the third year.

Tinubu also criticized the abandonment of 70 percent of projects by previous administrations, asserting that his government would continue to prioritize infrastructure development in Abuja.
