Dr. Azunku Appointed 2nd Provost of Federal College of Education

The Federal College of Education, Ebonyi State, has appointed Dr. Franci Nwangbo Azunku as its 2nd Provost, a decision announced on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

This appointment follows a rigorous screening and interview process conducted in strict compliance with the Federal College of Education Act's guidelines. Dr.

Azunku is a distinguished academic and administrator, currently serving as the Chief Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education at Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo. His administrative experience spans over two decades, including roles as Head of Department (2004-2007), Deputy Provost (2017-2021), and an ex-officio member of the Governing Council (2017-2020).

He has chaired several strategic committees, including the Curriculum Development Implementation Committee and the Committee for the Status Upgrade of Ebonyi State College of Education. Dr.

Azunku holds a Bachelor's degree from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (1999), a Master's degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2008), and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education (2019). His appointment has been supported by Rt.

Hon. Franci Ogbonna Nwifuru, reflecting a commitment to strengthening educational institutions in Ebonyi State.
