Federal Fire Service Warns Against Electrical Overloading After Series of Fire Outbreaks

The Federal Fire Service in Nigeria has expressed serious concerns over a surge in fire outbreaks linked to electrical overloading in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Within a span of 32 hours, three major incidents occurred, causing an estimated loss exceeding N650 million.

The latest incident occurred at a corner shop in Maraba, affecting six retail outlets. The Fire Service promptly responded to contain the fires and prevent further escalation.

The Head of the Federal Fire Service, Olumod Samuel Adeyemi, emphasized the importance of adopting strict electrical safety practices to prevent such disasters.
