FCT Fire Outbreaks Cause ₦650m Loss in 32 Hours, Federal Fire Service Urges Safety Measures

In a span of 32 hours, three major fire outbreaks in different locations across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) resulted in an estimated loss of ₦650 million. The incidents were linked to suspected electrical surges, prompting the Federal Fire Service to emphasize the importance of fire safety practices.

The fires affected areas like Maraba, Kugbo, and Leventi Plaza, with properties worth billions preserved. The Federal Fire Service head, Olumod Samuel Adeyemi, warned against electrical overloads and highlighted the need for prompt intervention to prevent such losses.
