Federal High Court Rejects Nnamdi Kanu's Transfer Request Amid Legal Proceedings

The Federal High Court in Abuja has denied Nnamdi Kanu's plea to transfer from Sokoto Prison to a facility closer to the capital. Kanu's legal team sought the move to enable him to exercise his constitutional rights effectively.

However, Justice James Omotosho declined the request, emphasizing the need for all parties to be heard. Kanu's brother, Prince Emmanuel, also tried to address the court despite not being a legal practitioner.

The case has been adjourned to January 27, 2026, for further proceedings.
