Hajiya Sa Adatu Declares Gombe Governorship Ambition

Hajiya Sa Adatu Sa Ad Mustapha, popularly known as Alkebbar Kaltungo, has officially declared her intent to contest the 2027 governorship election in Gombe State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). She submitted her letter of intent on April 16, 2026, which was acknowledged by the APC state secretariat on April 17.

Hajiya Sa Adatu aims to contribute meaningfully to the development of Gombe State, pledging to focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure development, economic growth, and security. She has committed to upholding the principles of the APC, including transparency, accountability, and people-centered governance.

Her entry into the race adds a new dimension to the 2027 governorship contest in Gombe State, particularly as she emerges among the few female aspirants in a field that has already generated discussions around gender inclusivity and the expansion of women's participation in elected political office.
