The Federal Ministry of Education has announced that the technical glitch that disrupted access to the 2025 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination results has been resolved. The issue was related to paper serialisation and a specific subject processing security feature introduced by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The Ministry confirmed that the glitch has been promptly and professionally corrected, and updated results are expected to be fully accessible on the official result checker portal within 24 hours. The Ministry also acknowledged the patience of the candidates affected by the issue.

The Minister of Education highlighted examination reform as a key pillar of the administration, with a phased rollout of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) set to begin in November 2026 to reduce malpractice and restore public confidence in the examination process.
