FG Begins Disbursement of Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund to Enhance Education Sector

The Federal Ministry of Education has commenced the disbursement of the Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund (TISSF) to improve staff welfare and innovation in tertiary institutions nationwide. The initiative, with 9,000 beneficiaries in the first year, aims to support both academic and non-academic staff in 219 federal and state tertiary institutions.

The program, launched in August 2025, has received commendations from leaders like President Bola Tinubu for its impact on staff welfare and the future of tertiary education in Nigeria.
