Nigerian Government Releases N2.3bn to Clear University Lecturers' Arrears

The Nigerian government has released N2.3 billion to address salary and promotion arrears for academic staff in federal universities, as part of efforts to enhance staff welfare and dialogue with ASUU. The funds, tagged as batch 8, were approved by President Bola Tinubu to resolve outstanding issues in the university system.

The Ministry of Education assures that payments will be made promptly to ensure financial sustainability and improve the academic environment.
