FG Commences Appointment of Five Permanent Secretaries, Ensures Transparency

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated the process to appoint five permanent secretaries, including filling vacancies due to recent retirements and the creation of new ministries. The Head of Civil Service Federation (HCSF), Mrs.

Didi, stated that the selection process aims for transparency and meritocracy. Eligible Grade Level 17 officers with at least two years of experience will face screening and disciplinary actions.

The process involves monitoring by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Department of State Services (DSS). Candidates have completed asset declaration forms and clearances.

The next stage includes a written examination. This move aligns with the government's commitment to good governance and efficiency.
