FG Urges FHA to Address Nigeria's Housing Deficit

The Federal Government of Nigeria has charged the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) to take significant steps in addressing the housing deficit across the country. Georg Akum, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, made this statement during the commissioning of a mall in Gwarimpa on Tuesday.

He urged the FHA to replicate successful projects to enhance the comfort of Nigerians, aligning with the current administration's agenda to tackle housing issues. Oyetund Ojo, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FHA, has assumed responsibility for reviving projects that were inherited from previous administrations, emphasizing that the current government under President Bola Tinubu will not abandon these initiatives.

The FHA aims to provide affordable and livable housing while creating a conducive business atmosphere in Nigeria. The newly commissioned mall in Abuja is expected to generate direct employment for 500 Nigerians, contributing to the government's efforts to combat unemployment.
