FHA Commissions 59-Shop Mall in Abuja to Boost Economy

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) commissioned a four-storey, 59-shop mall in Gwarinpa, Abuja, on Tuesday, with the aim of boosting economic activity and curbing unemployment in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Hon.

Oyetunde Ojo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FHA, highlighted the project’s significance in reviving the agency's mandate under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. The mall, which includes modern amenities and services, is designed to accommodate approximately 500 to 600 people at a time, providing a conducive business atmosphere.

Ojo noted that the project, which had been previously abandoned, is expected to create job opportunities and improve living conditions for Nigerians. The mall features 59 shop spaces and a penthouse, with a commitment to ensuring safety and accessibility for all users.

SGF Senator George Akume urged the FHA to replicate such achievements across the country, aligning with the current administration's agenda to address housing deficits and create enabling environments for success.
