FG Exempts Colleges of Education Candidates from UTME

The Federal Ministry of Education, represented by Dr. Alausa, announced a significant policy change stating that candidates seeking admission into Federal Colleges of Education will be exempt from taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) beginning in 2026.

This decision was made during a meeting with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Abuja. The ministry explained that this move aims to facilitate easier access to education, particularly for programs related to technology and agriculture.

However, it is important to note that candidates will still need to possess the requisite basic O-level qualifications to be eligible for admission into these programs.
