Nigerian Government Launches Pilot Phase of AI Training for Teachers

The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a pilot phase of training for teachers on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate AI solutions into the education system. The initiative, which is a significant milestone in the government's efforts to align teaching and learning with the demands of the 21st-century digital economy, began with Teacher's Unity College as the first beneficiary.

The training aims to enhance teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes through AI-powered educational solutions. The program is expected to generate reports to guide the scaling of the initiative nationwide across all six geopolitical zones.
