Oyebanji Credits Tinubu for Easing Governance in Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji stated that President Bola Tinubu has made governance easier for him since his inauguration. During an interaction session with journalists in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji recounted the struggles of managing the state's wage bill and capital projects before Tinubu's presidency.

He noted that Tinubu's administration has provided various interventionist programs and resources that have allowed Ekiti to implement its "Share Prosper Agenda." Oyebanji mentioned ongoing construction work on three federal roads and emphasized that without Tinubu's intervention, these projects would not have been possible. He also highlighted the approval of contracts for road construction, including the Ado-Itawure road, which has a contract value exceeding the state's budget for two years.

Furthermore, Oyebanji reported that his administration paid 85 billion naira in gratuities and pensions in 2022, asserting that the administration's performance has been positively received by the people of Ekiti. He urged support for Tinubu's re-election, stating that progress requires courage and confidence to address long-standing issues.
