FG Allocates N10.1bn to Education Sector in Q4 2025

In the last quarter of 2025, the Federal Government of Nigeria injected N10.1 billion into the education sector. This funding included a N50 million grant aimed at facilitating partnerships with the Bank of Industry to enhance capacity-building opportunities for tertiary education students.

Additionally, N2.97 billion was disbursed as stipends for 160,000 vocational students, and N4.6 billion was allocated to improve skill training centers under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program. The government also launched a N2.55 billion menstrual health campaign to deliver 1 million pads to 370,000 girls in rural underserved areas.

Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, highlighted the government's commitment to improving literacy through a six-point agenda focused on reducing school children’s poverty and increasing skills in the labor market.

Furthermore, a school safety department was established to support security frameworks in schools, with ongoing efforts to enhance safety across Nigeria.
