Nigerian Government Launches Free Training Program for Oil and Gas Jobs

The Nigerian government, through the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has initiated a free training program aimed at preparing 10,000 technical professionals for employment in the expanding oil and gas industry. The program prioritizes young graduates and technicians, focusing on building competencies in high-demand oil and gas career paths.

Participants will receive practical and classroom instruction, as well as hands-on workshop experience to become field-ready operators in modern energy projects. The initiative is part of NCDMB's Human Capital Development (HCD) strategy mandated by the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act to prioritize local training and employment.

Successful trainees will be added to NCDMB's skill database, enhancing their prospects for placement in operating companies and service providers involved in major energy projects. Eligible youths are encouraged to register for the program to gain practical industry skills and opportunities to join future oil and gas projects.
