FG Launches National Job Centres to Tackle Unemployment in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated the National Job Centres project to combat unemployment and improve access to quality job opportunities nationwide. Launched in Lagos during the Mastercard Foundation's annual Nigeria partner meeting, the project aims to promote inclusive and transformative work in Nigeria.

Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, unveiled the Labor and Employ Empower Program (LEEP) as a flagship initiative to empower youth and bridge the skills-employment gap. The collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation focuses on job creation, entrepreneurship, and skill development to support thousands of Nigerian youth.
