Nigerian Government Launches App to Empower 25 Million Women Nationwide

The Nigerian government has introduced a new digital platform, the "Happi Woman App," to empower 25 million women across Nigeria by deepening their economic inclusion, expanding access to financial skills, markets, and government support. The platform is designed to connect Nigerian women with financial services, skill development programs, market opportunities, and essential services.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the nationwide expansion of the Women Empowerment Program, with an expected reach of one million women. The initiative aims to make women central to the nation's development agenda, highlighting their crucial role in strengthening families, sustaining communities, and boosting national productivity.

Additionally, the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) have launched a new credit program to provide N10 billion in guaranteed loans to women, promoting their participation in key economic sectors.
