FG Partners with NAH for Groundwater Mapping Initiative

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, led by Engr. Prof.

Joseph Utsev, is set to collaborate with the Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH) to improve national groundwater mapping and data collection. This partnership aims to ensure accurate data collection and promote sustainable groundwater management across Nigeria.

Prof. Utsev disclosed this during a courtesy visit from Mr.

Fash Adam Francisca and a delegation from NAH in Abuja. The collaboration will enhance the effectiveness of water schemes implemented at individual, community, and government levels.

Prof. Utsev commended NAH for its contributions to groundwater exploration, management, and advocacy over the years.

He emphasized the ministry's commitment to partnering with relevant professional bodies to strengthen the water resources sector and improve service delivery in Nigeria. Mr.

Fash Adam expressed appreciation for the ministry's ongoing commitment to water resource development and food security in the country. NAH comprises registered hydrogeologists and professionals operating across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
