The ministry plans to develop a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to accelerate the implementation of agreed areas of collaboration. The Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists, which comprises registered hydrogeologists and professionals across 36 states, seeks technical collaboration for nationwide groundwater mapping and reliable hydrogeological data collection.

The partnership is expected to significantly contribute to sustainable water resource management and food security in Nigeria.
