FG Restores Normal Traffic Flow on Abuja–Lokoja Road After Standoff

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Works led by David Umahi, has restored normal traffic flow on the Abuja–Lokoja highway following a disruption over the weekend. The incident, involving truck drivers and military personnel, led to a blockade and severe traffic gridlock.

The Ministry directed the immediate opening of affected road sections and deployment of measures to ease the hardship experienced by road users. Collaboration with security agencies, including the FRSC, has helped restore free flow of traffic.

Umahi appealed to motorists for patience and caution, especially during the festive travel period, emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring safe and efficient road transport nationwide.
