Nigerian Government Terminates Contracts on Abuja–Lokoja Road Over Poor Performance

The Nigerian government, led by Minister of Works David Umahi, terminated several contracts on the Abuja–Lokoja Highway due to poor performance. Contractors like Sadogi Nigeria Ltd and Venu Construct Nigeria Ltd failed to meet project timelines, resulting in terminations despite significant delays.

Umahi emphasized the government's intolerance for non-performance and directed contractors to complete outstanding work by December 2025. JRB Construction was commended for progress made on a section of the road.
